Troms Offshore has ordered one new Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) at STX Brevik
Troms Offshore has ordered one new Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) at STX Brevik. The vessel’s design is STX PSV 108 CD which includes Clean Design notation and environmentally friendly diesel-electric propulsion. The vessel, scheduled for delivery in March 2013, will have a deck space of 830 square metres. The company has an option for an additional vessel of similar design with delivery May 2013.
Troms Offshore currently operates a fleet of 15 offshore service vessels from its home port in Tromsø. Of the 15 vessel fleet, the Company owns four large Clean Design PSVs with at least 1,000 square metre deck area. The Company is establishing a fleet of large, environmentally friendly vessels fit for operation in the North Sea. Based on the expertise and experience the company brings from years of operating experience from arctic waters and demanding ice conditions, Troms Offshore seeks to take a leading position within offshore supply services as the activity picks up in the Northern and Arctic areas. The Company’s officers and crew on the owned vessels is mainly recruited from North Norway.
