Quality Policy

Quality is often defined as the totality of features and characteristics of a product or service that bear on its ability to satisfy stated or implied needs, sometimes even used as a description of something with a high degree of excellence or superiority.

In Troms Offshore we strive to offer our clients quality services, in other words services that meet or exceed our client’s needs or expectations. Our values; proficiency, reliability and enthusiasm form the basis upon which we build a culture of perfection, envisioning that Troms Offshore will become the very definition of excellence.

This shall be achieved by:

  • Operating in compliance with our QHSE Management System.
  • Making quality in our services a line responsibility from the Company’s Top Management to every individual employee.
  • Effectively communicate with our customers in order to better understand their needs and expectations, receive and respond to feedback and continuously improve customer relations.
  • Benchmarking our performance towards established Key Performance Indicators and other comparable companies.
  • Identifying and implementing “best practices” in all of our activities.
  • Effectively communicate the Company’s performance and improvement initiatives both internally and to customers.
  • Establishing and maintaining an effective, efficient, robust and resilient company organization.
  • Ensuring that all job functions are carried out by highly competent personnel.
  • Ensuring that our vessels are well maintained and operated in order to achieve a high and reliable performance.
  • Being certified and operate in accordance with the ISO 9001:2008 Standard and comply with all applicable rules and regulations.

This Policy will be reviewed annually as a part of the Management Review of the QHSE Management System.

 

Environmental Policy

 

In relation to this policy, environment is defined as the surroundings in which we operate, including air, water, land, natural resources, flora, fauna, humans, and their interrelation. An environmental aspect is an element or characteristic of our operations that interacts or can interact with the environment. Environmental aspects can cause environmental impacts which can be either beneficial or adverse and can have a direct and decisive effect on the environment or contribute only partially or indirectly to a larger environmental change.

Based on our values; ethicality, sustainability and resource efficiency, we aim to establish and sustain a positive environmental legacy for Troms Offshore, our clients and for future generations We will strive to mitigate the adverse environmental impact from our operations. In fact, we envision our operations one day being so clean that our environment maintains a pristine condition.

This shall be achieved by:

  • Operating in compliance with our QHSE Management System.
  • Meeting all regulatory requirements and taking into account industry best practices, guidelines and standards. Also encouraging even tougher voluntary standards in dialogue with the customer whenever possible.
  • Making environmental protection a line responsibility, from top management to every individual employee, and.ensuring that responsibilities are understood, monitored and fulfilled.
  • Establishing a just culture to foster effective communication and incident and hazard reporting.
  • Identifying all environmental aspects of our activities, assessing their impact and doing our outmost to mitigate, or even better – eliminate adverse impact.
  • Communicating environmental matters throughout the company and educate and encourage our employees to have a high level of awareness and knowledge of environmental matters.
  • Thoroughly planning our activities with the aim of increasing resource efficiency and reducing emissions, discharges and waste.
  • Through risk assessments, safe procedures and well informed employees, preventing environmental incidents. Albeit, should an accident occur, having emergency response procedures, trained employees and sanitation equipment in place.
  • Continuously monitoring, assessing and communicating our performance and reviewing and revising our QHSE Management System as required.
  • Sharing lessons learned and best practices.
  • Being certified in accordance with the ISO 14001 Standard and ISM Code.

This Policy will be reviewed annually as a part of the Management Review of the QHSE Management System.
